This is a little piece of rustic heaven along the North Coast of Natal, and definitely worth a visit if you’re up this way.
We stayed an excellent few nights at Kosi Bay Casitas and thoroughly enjoyed it! Tanya and Ivan were both great hosts and the story of the Casitas has been incredible. Ivan and Tanya has worked wonders to bring this awesome piece of South Africa back to life after taking it over a couple of years back.
Kosi Bay itself is an incredible part of South Africa, and the three lake systems and excellent long sandy beaches will leave you mesmerised. It’s also close to the Mozambique border so easy enough for a drive over or a stop off for a few nights.
The camp site is very rustic, and it has a great feel to it. There is a great social bar & fire pit that both campers, backpackers and those in the lodges can socialise around. There are additional services of boat trips and 4×4 transfers so exploring from here has been made easy.
All in all, Kosi Bay Casitas was a fantastic stay for us!
